International Garden Photographer of the Year Exhibition, 15 March - 5 May 2022
Enjoy this outdoor display of stunning photographs located near the Grass Maze. This year, the exhibition will feature a selection of highly-placed winning photographs from the 15th IGPOTY competition, including images from the inaugural “Spirit and Beauty of Cambridge University Botanic Garden” special award.
Science on Sundays, monthly March - July
Science on Sundays is a programme of free, informal, monthly science talks taking place from March to July, bringing the latest discoveries in plant science, as well as research linked to the plant collection at the Garden, to our visitors in a 30 minute nutshell.
We will be running our Science on Sundays talks as online webinars for those at home, and also screening the talks live from the Botanic Garden Classroom for those visiting the Garden on the day.

The Great Garden Egg Hunt, 31 March – 18 April 2022
There will be plenty of treats in the Garden over Easter!
Learn about the many birds that can be spotted at the Garden and hunt for information about their amazing eggs to claim an Easter prize. To join in, simply pick up a trail booklet on your way into the Garden and start your adventure. Springtime fun for all ages! More info here.
Plants, Discovery, Poetry - Sunday 10 April, 1pm
Join us for a botanical poetry reading in the Garden, where a lineup of green-loving poets will take us on a journey of scientific, sensory, and personal discovery in the plant realm, surrounded by a rich diversity of plants.

Free Drop-in Weekend Tours
Enjoy a free-of-charge Garden tour with one of our expert guides, taking in the seasonal highlights of the Garden.
- Tours are free-of-charge but normal Garden admission charges apply
- Visitors wishing to join a tour should sign up at the main Brookside ticket office on arrival
- Places are allocated on a first-come basis and numbers are limited
- Not recommended for children under 12 years
- Tours are run by volunteer guides and subject to guide availability
And of course, you can always simply wander around the Garden at leisure and enjoy the seasonal flowering highlights: the narcissus and cherry blossom to name two. In the warmth of the Glasshouses, the extraordinary jade vine is expected to be in flower, and admire the colourful national collection of tulips and the mountain perennials, all bursting into bloom in the Mountains House.
