Ways to enjoy the Garden from home

In these challenging times we’re more aware than ever of the importance of nature and we want to share the beauty of nature and the Garden with everyone, whatever their situation.

Professor Beverley Glover, Director

While many people still cannot visit, we are trying to find ways to make our beautiful plants and landscapes as available as possible.

We are filming short Wellness Wanders. These short films show the beautiful colours, sights and sounds in the Garden. We hope that people who are unable to get out and about at the moment, or those who simply miss CUBG, will enjoy these relaxed explorations of the season.

The most recent video can be found out on our website here, and you can also look through the archive of previous tours to watch the Garden develop over the months.

Take two mindful minutes with us and connect with nature. Stop, breathe and relax to some calming sights and sounds here at the Garden.

We are sharing short springtime scenes from the Garden during Mental Health Awareness Week 10-16 May 2021. This year it’s all about connecting people with nature and how nature can improve our mental health.

During the spring and early summer 2020, our Horticulture and Learning teams created weekly videos to give tips on growing your own plants at home and supporting the wildlife in your garden. To find out more, please visit the Gardening Club.

Check out our Twitter and Facebook pages for news, information about events and courses, and quick updates on what’s going on in the Garden.

While the Garden was closed, we posted ‘BitesizeBotanics’ – short videos and pictures of the springtime beauty in the Garden on our social media channels. These are all gathered together on our website here and also on our YouTube channel.

Our Learning team has posted loads of brilliant family activities to do at home or while out for a walk that are great fun and also explore the world of nature and gardening.

To watch all of our Garden videos from recent months, and longer ago, please visit our YouTube channel, where you can also see videos from our online Festival of Plants and other insights into Garden life.
