As the two mighty flower spikes elongate to perhaps 1.5 metres from the rosette of lance-shaped leaves, they looks like twin Lowly Worms on an ill-advised steroid programme! It becomes more elegant as lateral flowering branches begin to extend out from the fleshy spike, each ending in clusters of green and pink bells.
