Leave a Legacy

To share your passion for plants with future generations, please consider making a gift or bequeathing a legacy to the Garden in your will

Legacies of all sizes can make a difference and help us to ensure that the Garden remains a world-class institution for excellence in research, horticulture and education.

Legacies have a strong tradition in the Garden, with the magnificent legacy of Reginald Cory (who left the residue of his estate to the Botanic Garden upon his death in 1934) still having a huge impact on the Garden today. His generosity and foresight enabled the Botanic Garden to develop the eastern 18 acres of the site, purchased by the University a century earlier, into the publicly-accessible gardens enjoyed today.

Not all legacies are that big or broad-reaching, but all go towards ensuring the future of our work and collection. Please do speak to us if there is a particular project or area of the Garden that you would like to support.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss ways in which you can support the Garden in your will, please contact us on 01223 336265 or by email at development@botanic.cam.ac.uk
