Giving in Memory

Make a gift in memory of a friend or relative who loved the Garden

The Garden holds a special place in many people’s hearts. Its tranquillity and beauty offer a unique place for reflection in the heart of Cambridge and it is a special place to commemorate a loved one.

We offer two ways of commemorating and celebrating in the Garden – through a donation to the Giving in Memory Fund or by sponsoring a tree.

Please note that the Celebration and Commemorative Bench scheme is currently closed. When we have the capacity to introduce new benches into the Garden, this scheme will reopen.

These programmes help the Garden to maintain our beautiful heritage landscape, and inspire visitors about the importance of plants and plant science, horticulture and the joy of gardening.

The Giving in Memory Fund has supported a number of projects in the Garden, from the building of our garden classroom, to creating an Arid Lands display in the Glasshouse Range and the creation of bulb belts to improve the spring displays.

Please click here to make a donation to the Giving in Memory Fund.

To discuss Giving in Memory – be it a donation, a funeral collection or something else – please contact the Development Office by email development@botanic.cam.ac.uk
